The scalloped clay fringe along the top-edge of the beautiful Helena Pot gives it a soft and classic look. North of Rome in the Lazio region lies the small town of Di Bolsena, a place once filled with potters and the home of Roberto Rosso, one of Italy’s best potters.
Taking inspiration from ancient Greek designs, Rosso created a pot with a distinctive clay border, which was popular throughout the 1800s. Steffen Berg created our Helena Pot with inspiration from Rosso’s admired pot. Today, our Italian potters pay homage to Rosso’s masterpiece every time a new Helena Pot is moulded.
Our classic Helena comes in two soft glazed colours inspired by nature: Pearl Grey, mirroring the uncultured pearls that exist in the depths of the ocean, and the ever-loved heart stone, the Rose Quartz, a feminine, nude pink, symbolizing compassion and calm.
The soft-coloured saturated glazing accentuates the elegant scalloped fringe along Helena’s top.
Handmade
with love
Our planters are designed in Denmark and handmade with love. Made from the best Italian premium quality Galestro clay at a small, family-owned workshop in northern Italy.
We always strive to achieve the best quality products. We fire our clay at extremely high temperatures and use slow-burning firing, giving our pots unique and natural durability.
